Professional redeployment applies to employees who are incapable of performing their previous job due to health reasons, disability or bodily wear and tear but who are not eligible for the invalidity scheme.
Two cases are possible:
- Internal professional redeployment consists of reintegration within the same company after a period of incapacity for work. The employee may be assigned to another position or work regime.
- When internal professional redeployment is not possible, employees may be entitled to external professional redeployment. The purpose of external redeployment is to facilitate the employee's professional reintegration into the labor market.
Employees who are incapable of performing their previous job due to health reasons may be granted the status of a person on professional redeployment. This section describes the procedure how to obtain the status.
Being on external redeployment
A jobseeker who has been granted the status of a person on external job redeployment may be entitled to financial benefits.
Being on internal redeployment
An employee who is redeployed internally will be reintegrated by his employer according to the residual work capacity.
Aids and mesures
ADEM offers benefits, measures or internships to beneficiaries of a redeployment decision in order to facilitate their integration into the labor market.
